National Food Distributors inks three new supply contracts with grocers in the NY metropolitan area

NFD

On Friday, NFD announced that it has secured supply agreements with three NY metropolitan area grocers. National Food Distributors (NFD) will supply the meat, seafood and produce needs of Meat Barn, Big Apple Meat Market and Western Beef supermarkets. This comes off the recent announcement that NFD, with its new team of industry experts and principals, would be bringing their leadership and track record of success in the wholesale industry to Ridgewood, Queens. An executive at NFD had this to say about the agreement:

"The NY market is one of the most challenging yet coveted markets in the United States. The continual additions of strong grocers in the city to our overall network speaks to our ability to overcome the challenges of this market and provide great service, quality and savings. We see tremendous advantages for us in this market that other wholesalers simply can't compete with us on. And of course, efficiencies we benefit from are always passed on to the customers first and foremost. It starts with the customer first and NY grocers recognize this."

The terms of the agreements were not released but servicing is expected to start immediately. It is very rare for wholesaler to enter the New York market and to have an actual facility strategically located within the boroughs given the extremely high real estate costs.

The announcement comes off a tailwind of press releases from Cactus Holdings including a partnership with NFD that was announced this past week. For information please inquire at CactusHoldings.com or NationalFoodDistributors.us.
